The speech quilt is just the right size to cover two or three little laps. It's soft, colorful, and well-made. My low verbal babies enjoy snuggling with it while challenging each other to I-Spy; the vibrant colors encourages the kiddos to use more varied and descriptive words, which builds vocabulary as well as confidence! The back of the quilt is a soft minky material that one of my non-verbal babies loves to rub on his chin while we're reading in the rocking chair.
